Showcase 34 VF/NM $1500

Origin of silver age Atom

Showcase 34 was DC's third successful re-introduction of a golden age Super-hero. But the Atom was different, where as, the revamping of the Green Lantern & the Flash(see Showcase 22& Showcase 4) were only cosmetic, the Atom was a completely new concept. The Atom of the Golden Age was a small man with extradanary strength(in the vain of the George Atlas ads). The Silver Age Atom was able to reduce himself small enough to travel through phone lines, always collect(Ha Ha). I have included the story reprinted in Secret Origins of the Super DC Heroes. I have only opened this comic once to reveal creamy white pages(very nice). This one is overpriced as of the 2000 price guide(about $1000 a 30% mark up). The thing is, is that I really want to keep this one, but I can be bought. You have been warned. You can read the story for free.
