Mad Magazine

Mad Magazine was the only EC title to survive. In order to escape the censorship of the Comic Code Authority, Mad was converted to a magazine and was not under the same guidelines as comics were under the Comic Code Authority.

These are all replacements. My mom threw away all my Mads. I did save my comics, but all but one of my Mads are gone. Although, there are some that I did not have & some that I had before, have not been replaced, this is as good a collection as I had before.

A moment in comic history, dateline 1952.

Mad is published by EC in October of 1952.

Opie and Andy

Andy: I want to tell you something, Opie. And I want you to listen real carful because this is important. Your my young 'un, and I love you more than anything or anybody in the whole world, and nothin' or nobody can ever change that. You know, it's hard for me to tell you just how much you mean to me 'cause your part of me.
