The Flash
The silver age Flash begins in Showcase #4 in September of 1956. The Flash Comics (previously Flash Comics. Flash Comics #1 in January 1940 to #104 in Feb. of 1949) begins with The Flash #105 in Feb of 1959 and ends with #350 in October of 1985.

What does the code (G-58) mean next to The Flash #187? DC would put out giants during the late spring full of reprints. They did this to save money when sales were lower in the summer. All (G-58) stands for is, that it is the 58th giant DC put out, excluding the annuals.

history, dateline 1937 The Comics Magazine Company publishes Western Picture Stories & National Periodical Publications puts out Detective Comics in March. National Periodical Publications is now refered to by the initials of Detective Comics, "DC".
