DuckTales

DuckTales the comic book started in October 1988. I am not sure when the television show began, but it was shortly there after. I had high hopes for the TV show. The TV show was all right, but I think it focused too much on 'Clutchplate' (A.K.A. Launchpad, Bender from Futurama). I called Launchpad, 'Clutchplate' just to get a response out of my son, who was a big fan of DuckTales the TV show when he was little. Anyway, it is a good show the whole family can watch. They used a lot of Barks stuff but, not enough to suit me. Gladstone Published 13 issues of Ducktales the comic book from October 1988 to November 1991. Disney published 18 issues from June 1990 to November 1991. I think Disney forced Gladstone to publish DuckTales. I can see Disney's point of view, after all if you are going to release a new cartoon, what could be better than to have a comic book already in publication. The comic could be used as studio propaganda (not that there is anything wrong with that). To appease their subscribers Gladstone made the their DuckTales giants so they could include a full length Barks' Tale along with the studio propaganda (not that there is anything wrong with that). This is the opinion of Kit and I dare you to prove me wrong, as if it matters.
