Captain Marvel #100 & Mad #4 "Superduperman & Captain Marbles"
Captain Marvel was killed by Superman. National Comics, later to become DC, filed suit against Captain Marvel in 1953, stating that Captain Marvel infringed upon Superman's copyright (National was more interested in Captain Marvel's success at taking customers away from National, than any resemblance Captain Marvel had to Superman). Fawcett did not want to pay the cost of defending Captain Marvel so, Superman killed Captain Marvel.
I have included Mad #4 because, Mad did a take off on Captain Marvel vs. Superman. I think it is great. Some words may be hard to read due to compression.
SHAZAM stands for Solomon(wisdom), Hercules(strength), Atlas(stamina), Zeus(power), Achilles(courage), Mercury(speed).Whenever Billy Batson famous boy newscaster says the word "Shazam!" he is miraculously transformed into Captain Marvel, the world's mightiest mortal. I only know five of the seven deadly enemies of man. They are; pride, envy, greed, hatred, selfishness. All I know is that it is a rip off of the seven deadly sins and they left off the controversial ones.
