Comic Book Albums
(Gladstone first & second series, Disney, Carl Barks Library in Color & Misc.)
Before 1980 albums were something various publishers put out in comic book form. They were sometimes called annuals. The comic albums put out after 1980 were different. First they are the size of magazines. Second they have a cardboard covers and are printed on heavier paper. This makes them more durable. Unfortunately, they are not waterproof. I had a complete set of the first series of albums that Gladstone put out. The box, the comics were stored in got wet. This ruined their collectable value. Because of this, I have been putting a lot of these up on the web as examples to read.
I was not going to put these up at all, but people have expressed an interest in these albums. I also bought some more that are in perfect shape. Albums, for the most, part are not that collectable, because of their durability. They are not easily damaged and so they do not become rare. If you want to invest in comics, this is not the area. If your eye site is fading & you just want good comics to read this is your page. Some of these comics are priced above guide. I am willing to sell them at the price listed. Please keep this in mind. The albums that have any damage at all have no value other than, as reading copies ( I was wrong they have a minimal value $2.50). The albums in near mint are listed at guide.
